Omnia 2 users collect signatures for compensation from Samsung

Users of the Samsung Omnia are waging a signature campaign in protest against Samsung. According to the Digital Times, this is due to the scheduled termination of the web surfing service utilized by the Omnia 2, a noticeably slower but acceptable phone compared to the iPhone and Android. In comparison to non-smartphones, or the internet browser provided on Windows Mobile smartphones, the speed of the Omnia 2's web surfing is much faster and has full browsing capabilities.

Last month, Samsung Electronics announced they were reviewing possible compensation after various problems with the Omnia 2 were brought to attention. Samsung has yet to follow through with any restitution, therefore user complaints have been growing.

Sports Seoul reported that users are progressing as a group with their campaign of signatures, having started campaigns on websites like Naver and Daum. On Daum's "Agora" forum, over 3,500 people have added their names to the campaign in support of compensation from Omnia 2 sales.
